I found like great little blog with some nice how-to’s on sketching characters.  Rad from http://radhowto.blogspot.com/ is a storyboard artist at Dreamworks Animation and has some nice demonstrations on creating animated characters.  I decided to give a couple of his tutorials a shot and came up with these mini sketches.
