Today I found the blob brush in illustrator and my whole digital painting world turned. I suppose I didn’t notice this feature since I moved from CS3 to CS4, but I finally found a way to draw on illustrator like I would on paper. I’ve always been disappointed by the brush in illustrator but I love the sharpness of vectors so I stuck with it. A simple little tool (with a funny name) finally made illustrator everything I hoped it could be. I know people love photoshop, painter x, and other tools but I’ve never been able to leave illustrator: now I don’t think I have to.
