When traveling on United Airlines, I saw a panda holding something on the front cover the Hemispheres magazine. For some reason I figured it was a Pepsi after reading too many New Yorker covers and figured they were going for some sort of ironic piece. It didn’t dawn on me till I started to draw that Coke always used Polar bears, not panda, in its ads and thus no one would understand why a panda would be holding a Pepsi. Oh well I guess I get my fuzzy, cute, and mostly white animals mixed up some times.
