After sitting down with a teenager with leukemia I decided to find out what it actually looks like. It’s rare that I think about what a disease physically looks like, yet after I do I feel a sense of uneasiness. While disease often holds a physical beauty, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to dissociate its beauty from the its destructive characteristics.
